Isn’t it fun how first day of school photos have become pervasive on social media. I like those much more than I like some posts. I’ve even started to see first day of work or last day of work photos for adults now. We’ve had a lot of changes here at United Way and picture day just got real!
Meet the new us!
Anna Barnsley Werblow is now full-time and Chief Financial & Operations Officer. Anna joined us in 2010 and left to teach at SOU. She came back to help us during the COVID and wildfire crush as a fractional CFO. And now, she’s back full time! Lucky us! She is a remarkable resource and as far as I’m concerned, the best nonprofit CFOO around!
Bethany Raya is Community Impact Director Income & Health. Bethany is a newcomer to our area and the story of how we met sounds silly but it’s true. She sat on my papers at church one Sunday! And yet, she’s incredibly skilled and has a great background. She came to us from the University of Idaho and now lives in Ashland.
Bianca Pezqueda is our summer intern and is busy selling our PEZ collection online and will be helping with other outreach as summer moves on. She attends the University of Oregon.
Dalia Silva-Moore is Community Impact Director Transportation, staffs our Belonging Council and does translation and interpretation work for United Way. She attends SOU in her efforts to continue her growth in human services too.
Debi Jensen is our Office Manager and has been with us for many years. When you get important United Way emails, they’re often from Debi. She runs a tight ship.
Katie Stumpff is our latest United Way employee. She’s the Director of Giving and Engagement. She’ll be raising money and volunteers! She joined us from Porters. She’s a long time United Way volunteer for campaign and allocations.
Leah McLaughlin is our Accounting Specialist and she’s a former teacher. Leah helps expedite all those Hope Chest payments making it the fastest turnaround for emergency assistance in the Rogue Valley!
Will Young is Community Impact Director Education and actively works to inspire, cajole, motivate young people to cross the finish line with high school. He is a trusted ally for school staff and students alike.
Onward,
