Each day I do an update to our Board of Directors and staff on our COVID19 Fund. Here’s today to keep you interested.

So we’re starting on what it feels like in the office with the broken air conditioner…

and it’s not the Buster Poindexter version; it’s the original The Merrymen.  Okay, enough and yet it may encourage you to provide a pandemic playlist tune!

We got the great news today that Jackson County Commissioners approved $50,000 for United Way’s COVID19 response fund!  Please thank them if you see them or write them notes.

Today was super busy.  I think it’s possible this was the greatest number of checks in a single day.  Blurry day for sure.

We have raised more than $340,000 for the COVID19 response fund and we have spent $183,125 helping 493 families/individuals and 32 nonprofit organizations.  Here’s the breakdown:

At our staff meeting, Talia’s check in is what positive thing are you taking from this time.  What a great question.  Feel free to let me know!  I’m headed to mail those checks from today!  I’m not mailing one because we’re making an urgent car payment for a Veteran and the finance company is picking it up tomorrow so as not to repossess his car.  He works full time and I’m glad we can help with that!  Stay well.
