Partnership is not a posture but a process – a continuous process that grows stronger each year as we devote ourselves to common tasks. –

John F. Kennedy

Partnership is what it’s all about. Not the hokey pokey. United Way has been around for 68 plus years, and we don’t do this work alone. We partner with agencies to deliver services to people in need. We partner with people who can help with people who need help. We partner with businesses to sponsor our good works. We partner with volunteers to keep the machine moving. We partner with government agencies and collaborations in our community to create positive community change. And we partner with donors to do all of it.

This past week exemplified partnership. We had our annual WILL luncheon which was wildly successful and energetic! Thanks to all who participated, spoke, and sponsored!

We also partnered on our 3rd annual Trunk or Treat with Teresa McCormick Center! Harry & David let us move it into their corporate offices due to bad weather forecasts!

And we received a most remarkable gift celebrating partnership. The Ben B. Cheney Foundation awarded 16 organizations an unrestricted grant in honor of their 50th Anniversary. We were deeply honored to be one of the recipients across their territory of Washington, Oregon, and Northern California.

Partnership is what makes the world go round and the community!
